    I had been trying some marbling recently and it reminded me of an old sketchbook page that I had kept a hold of meaning to turn into something. So I’ve scanned it and coloured it, I might go into the black lines and draw out some contours, or add some shading to the coloured areas to bring them forward from the intersecting dark lines, or both.

    I’m working on it in vector format, so it could potentially be printed out at quite a large scale. I think it would look quite good filling a wall.

    The original sketch was in an A5 notepad from when I was in college I think.

    Sunset over the Wash

    The best thing about being on the west coast of Norfolk is the beautiful sunsets across the wash. The sea is different every day and you could take pictures of it for ever quite comfortably.

    Next time I visit my camera will be permanently with me in the evenings. Sunny beaches all look the same, but when the setting sun starts catching the wide, flat, wet beaches and waves rolling the views are spectacular.

    Cherry Blossoms in April

    In my back garden I have a beautiful cherry tree, and round about April is when it looks it’s best for just a few weeks. The blossoms gradually fade through pink and white before making way for summer’s greenery.
